What’s new for Standards Online with this release? Lots! The new release is easy to use. For the individual customer, there’s the ability to open, print and save your standards copies in accordance with your contract. You’re able to search your list of standards to quickly retrieve the document you need. And you can search within a standard to find either a specific clause or word for those times when you know exactly what you need.
Another great feature for our users is the Toolkit. Here you’ll find a number of compliance tools to help your organization work with the standards you use. For example, there’s the List of Harmonized Standards for the EU. You can click the link for any Directive that has harmonized standards and go straight to the latest edition of it’s list. Now you’ll always be able to see exactly what requirements you need to meet at any given time!
Of course, there’s additional features for the administrator of your standards collection. With our enterprise account, up to 3 staff members can get these premium access rights. You’ll be able to manage the employees who have the right to use the portal. And you’ll get a range of reports so you can see who’s using the system and what standards are being accessed.
A special feature of Standards Online is the ability to take advantage of the expertise of the Document Center staff. Standards Online customers use our ticket system for questions about how to use standards and get fast and accurate responses. And Standards Online customers also get custom training sessions. We’ll be providing training on European Standards for our Standards Online customers starting in June. This training also shows you how to take maximum advantage of the Toolkit for improved compliance.
