The new 2011 Edition of the SNT-TC-1A, Personnel Qualification and Certification in Nondestructive Testing, has just been released. The standard is being distributed with the ANSI/ASNT CP-105, Training Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Personnel, which has been updated to the 2011 Edition as well.
Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A provides guidelines for employers to establish in-house certification programs for the qualification and certification of nondestructive testing personnel.
Since 1966, employers have used this industry-valued document as the general framework for their NDT certification programs. This revision provides updated training and certification requirements for Level I, II and III personnel. There’s new content on:
